Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater [Contest Finalists June 2012]
Uploaded: April 15, 2012 00:55:24
Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater (Acanthagenys rufogularis) is found across Australia, often in arid areas. A couple of them have recently started visiting my garden and finally, after several attempts, I have managed to capture this one today. They seem to be very suspicious, always on their guard and sing a beautiful song.

I’m sorry I haven’t been commenting lately, I have had a very busy time but hopefully soon I will be able get here more frequently.

Absolutely beautiful capture, Stan. The lighting is perfect, and so is his location, right there on an open branch. I've not seen one of these honeyeaters before, he sure is a lovely specimen! (Yes, and I'd love to see more of your works too!) #10091464Michelle Alton April 15, 2012
